Page 2 has been nearly complete for a minute now, but for the past 2 weeks, I've been battling the flu, so she took a backseat to my survival. All better now, and resuming work. Shouldn't be too much longer before it's up, but in the meantime I have a sketch to show as a consolation prize.

POSTING AGAIN! Back from the dead, as it were. You've all been so patient through this hiatus, and I thank you. I don't need to go into detail, you know how it is to be a comic book artist in this day and age. So, here is Issue 5 Page 1. The front cover is in very slow progress, and will be posted sometime between now and the end of this issue. I'm going to try very hard to resume the 13 day posting ritual. We'll see how that works out.

I want to send my heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported me while I was going through this extremely difficult year, everyone who sent donations, everyone who bought print copies, everyone who sent emails and messages, drew fan art, and kept reading despite my absence. It meant the world to me.

As promised, here is the back cover of Ragdoll #4.

Issue 4, and the first volume of the Ragdoll trade paperback will be available shortly.

I still need to reach my goal of selling 75 printed comics before I post any of Ragdoll #5. I hate to be a stone cold bitch that way, but I need the money pretty badly (Hey, who doesn't?) and until I have a place to live, paying commissions are top priority.

I miss feeding your eyes. Hopefully this crisis will be over soon.

I hate the emotion. What I hate worse are people that make me feel hate. I feel such burning hatred for the people who believe that I am less than human for being the subversive liberal weirdo that I am. I hate that I can't support myself or my loved ones with my true passion. I hate that I have to put Ragdoll on hold because not enough strangers would give me money for the groundbreaking, bad-ass work that I did with it. I hate that half of the people that read this will have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. I hate that I can't control my anger. I hate that one stupid pigfucker can turn my life upside down with nothing but a shitty facial expression, and cause me to fight with the one ally I have in my physical sphere of reality right now. I hate that my hate can discombobulate the collective so easily. I hate the way it feels, and I hate that the hate is the only thing that gives me the strength to endure it.

Okay you guys, it's time for me to be really real here. The past few months of my life have just been a living nightmare. As of now, I am being faced with the terrifying reality of potential homelessness. I'm doing everything I can just to survive right now. You may look at my artwork and wonder how I could possibly want for anything. I've wondered the same for many years now. The fact is that my artistic priorities have been severely fucked up, for lack of a more elegant term.

Anyone who draws comics understands that you absolutely cannot survive doing it exclusively. So, for now, I need to focus my skills on projects that will generate cash, and keep me off of the streets. I'm still working on Ragdoll. I always will work on Ragdoll, as it has become more of a bodily function than an artistic endeavor. But I need your help.

I will be posting new pages only after a certain number of print copies of the available issues have been purchased. The time it takes, be it a month, a year, or even a decade, to reach that goal is up to you. Ragdoll #5 will begin when 75 print copies of the available issues have been sold. That's 75 altogether, not 75 apiece. Hey, I may be crazy, but I'm not insane. As of now, the first 3 issues are in print and available through Indy Planet. Issue #4 will be available in print in early 2011.
